Reporting to the Head of Digital Analytics, the BI Manager at Domino's Pizza UK plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making and business performance by overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions. This position is responsible for managing a team of BI analysts and engineers and ensuring that the organization has access to accurate and actionable data insights to support strategic and operational goals.
Main Responsibilities
BI Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute the BI strategy aligned with the business's objectives.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging data to enhance business performance and customer experience.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define reporting requirements and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely reports and dashboards.
- Develop data visualizations and analytical models to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
Data Management and Governance:
- Oversee data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices.
BI Tools and Technologies:
- Evaluate, select, and manage BI tools and technologies that align with business needs.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in BI and analytics.
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, finance, and IT, to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Performance Optimisation:
- Monitor and optimize BI system performance to ensure data availability and responsiveness.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and bottlenecks.
Knowledge Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as business analytics, data science, or information technology.
- Proven experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related role, preferably within the retail or e-commerce industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience leading and developing BI teams.
- Proficiency in BI tools and technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Excellent data analysis and visualization skills.
- Strong understanding of data management and governance principles.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management skills to oversee BI initiatives from concept to implementation.
