We are recruiting for a Data Analyst to support our MI and Analytics teams within Admiral Financial Services Limited (AFSL). This is a great opportunity for someone with an analytical mind, who’s enthusiastic about working with numbers. The role will involve identifying, manipulating and analysing data to create reports and you will need to be comfortable communicate your conclusions to help us continuously improve and evolve.

The MI and Analytics team sits within the wider AFSL Finance team. The successful candidate will have regular interaction with the CFO and many senior managers, and be supported by a small but experienced team, feeding directly into the MI Manager.

Main Duties

  • Designing, developing and maintaining reports used for monitoring the various operational activities carried out by the teams within AFSL
  • Responsible for carrying out analysis to identify the outcomes of the initiatives that are regularly launched from within the company
  • Working collaboratively with the Collections and Operational areas to support continual-improvement of processes through data-driven decisions
  • Support external reporting as part of our funding and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the modelling and projection of the business to aid decision making

Experience and Qualifications Required

Essential

  • A 2:1 or higher in a numerical degree
  • Experience of extracting, manipulating and analysing data using SAS/SQL or similar
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • A passion for problem solving
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to relate technical content to non-technical colleagues
  • An inquisitive mind that identifies new ways of looking at data

Desirable

  • Experience with statistics is an advantage
  • Team player willing to get involved in team activities
  • Enthusiasm and “can-do” attitude
  • Previous experience of working in a collaborative environment
