The Customer Service Quality Control Tower team is the single voice of the customer with responsibility for the detection and prioritisation of customer issues resulting in the creation of quality projects to be resolved in order to improve customer satisfaction and reduce warranty costs.

This role will lead a team of data science, analytics and engineering specialists who are delivering an ambitious transformation program. This entails building a robust in-house analytics solution to handle the integration, modelling, prediction and inference of all customer quality issues utilising the best in class data analytics and machine learning tools and methods.

As Data Science and Analytics manager in the team they will be primarily responsible for the scoping of projects and management of them to deliver impact and value to the business. They will work with cross functional stakeholders to understand the business problems that require resolution to reduce the time to detect customer issues and put in place the strategy and project delivery framework to overcome these challenges.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Deliver impact and value to the business through analytics projects by reducing the time to detect customer quality issues
  • Scoping of the analytics projects and design of workplans that apply the appropriate analytics techniques
  • Management of these projects/tasks using agile development methodologies
  • Development of JLRs CSQ analytics strategy, methodology and continual improvement of the process
  • Product owner for CSQ data science and analytics, leading scrums as require
  • Recording, tracking and reporting progress and outcomes of analytics projects
  • Resolving or escalating project risks
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested from time to time

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Essential:

  • Experience managing complex projects and delivering business value through technology or analytics projects
  • Experience working with latest / modern analytics tools & platforms (Tableau, Python, GCP etc.)
  • Exceptional communication skills and can manage stakeholder priorities directly
  • Responsive, team-oriented and comfortable working in a dynamic organization with minimal structure and process
  • Ability to apply both support and challenge stakeholders, navigating want vs needs in the interest of JLR as a whole

Desirable:

  • JLR or other OEM customer warranty processes knowledge
  • Agile management qualificationAutomotive engineering domain knowledge
  • Educated to degree level in a technical discipline
