New opportunities for Newcastle data science researchers are created as we are a partner in The Alan Turing Institute, and also host the UK’s National Innovation Centre for Data.
Data Science is one of the University’s 5 main research themes, and it is currently investing heavily in growing this area of activity. Researchers across Newcastle recognise visualisation as a key field within data science, and it is one we wish to develop.
You will be an outstanding computer scientist with an excellent track record of research leadership in visualization. The proven ability to collaborate with researchers in other disciplines is also essential.
As well as being a leading researcher, with a strong publication track record, you will have great teaching experience, as well as a track record of successful supervision of postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers.
