The Senior Manager of Analytics and Insights will be part of a global Analytics and Insights team passionate about helping advertisers achieve greater understanding and results using the Samsung Ads platform.

Bringing to bear data from millions of Samsung Smart TVs, this team is providing agencies and advertisers insights about the video ecosystem; audience viewing; and campaign performance; and in the process this team is helping redefine 21st century video.

Role and Responsibilities

What this role will achieve

  • The role will be the point person for all client-facing analytics and insights for Samsung Ads’ EU markets (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain).
  • The role will service clients directly in the support of Sales, collaborate with executive leadership, set priorities for supporting revenue, and lead a small but growing team of analysts.
  • The goal is to establish, and support the production of, deliverables related to ad campaigns and broader marketing opportunities:
  • Targeting analyses
  • Pre-campaign planning insights
  • Post-campaign reporting
  • Thought leadership

Your key deliverables

Access, analyse, and improve data. Hands-on analysis of Samsung proprietary and licensed data to build client deliverables, and to improve the existing platform and capability set. Work with Product, Engineering, and Business Development to add new features and data sets.

Own the team. Own a small but growing team of analysts and researchers to meet the needs of our growing business.

Establish and support analytics and insights deliverables. Understand the needs of sales and clients for targeting, pre-campaign insights, and reporting. Build templates and scalable delivery capabilities. Support Sales in pitching clients as the analytics authority, and in crafting and presenting pre and post campaign materials.

Build thought leadership content. With Marketing, establish industry themes that Samsung data can help to illuminate for clients and the market at large. Perform analyses, help write and illustrate concepts, help promote and present the work in industry forums.

What we need for this role

  • 10+ years in ad sales research: sales support, client presentations
  • 10+ years data analysis
  • 5+ years of developing teams

Skills

  • Expertise in developing narratives with data
  • Expertise in presenting data narratives to internal and external customers
  • Expertise in SQL
  • Proficiency in Python and big data technologies such as Redshift
  • Strong communication skills

Qualifications

  • University degree in quantitative field: psychology, maths, economics, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Has a wide range of experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
  • Works on complex issues where analyzing situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variables. Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinates other's tasks
  • May manage a group such as coordinating activities regarding costs, methods and staffing
  • Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years
