We are currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer (Real World Data) to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink function in the Safety and Surveillance group.
Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: developing end-to-end Extraction Transform Load (ETL) data processing solutions from data collection through to; maintaining and supporting CPRD’s data processing pipelines; ensuring data assets are of high quality and accompanied with appropriate levels of metadata; and identifying optimisations to enable scaling and repeatable use of data.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in either a computer science-based, IT-based, maths-based, or related discipline, or equivalent wok-related experience.
- Have proven ability of designing, building, and testing data products based on feeds from multiple systems, using a range of different storage technologies, access methods or both.
- Have proven ability of delivering data solutions in accordance with agreed organisational standards that ensure services are resilient, scalable, and future proof.
- Have proven ability of producing, maintaining, and updating relevant data models for an organisation’s specific needs.
- Have proven ability of designing, coding, testing, correcting and documenting programmes or scripts.
