As a Data Insights Specialist, you will work with colleagues and customers to design and develop Management Information & Performance Indicators to help direct and inform business experts and process owners.
The current tool set comprises of Tableau, Power BI, Excel and bespoke tools. Having a passion for and being able to understand business data, data structures, and visualisation techniques are strong requirements for this role.
You will be the SME for System Operations when it comes to performance reporting and analytics, taking ownership of the design phase, ensuring robust technical measures and process are in place to provide trustworthy outputs to deliver value and provide commercial insight whilst mentoring a highly specialist team.
You will provide an external perspective to performance frameworks and implement innovative and actionable insights.
Because of how crucial this role and your thought processes is, you may be required to undertake roles within the Network Emergency Management Team (NEMT).
This will involve undergoing training and taking part in regular internal and external exercises and being called upon to fulfil this role in the event of an incident or emergency on the gas network.
To be successful in this role you will have be able to build strong relationships with stakeholders and be comfortable in challenging / sharing thoughts on discussions where necessary. You'll have experience of designing performance frameworks and be proficient in SQL with working knowledge of visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI etc).
