As part of a maturing and diverse Analysis and Insight function, you will support the implementation and growth of a data led strategy within the Financial Ombudsman Service. As a Senior Data and Insight Analyst, you will be asked to lead on a number of key analytical work areas as part of a central analytical team with the primary aim of using your analytical and insight skills to support the organisation in making the best decisions from the best evidence. This is a key role within our Analysis and Insight function, which will help us to drive evidence-based decisions across the Financial Ombudsman Service and build our capacity and capability across a range of analytical tools and approaches.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use your experience in working with inferential, descriptive, causal and predictive techniques, along with sound business knowledge, to produce impactful analytical outputs that support evidence-based decision making.
  • Work with accuracy and professionalism, to deliver on longer term analytical projects, ad-hoc urgent requests and a self-driven program of work.
  • Ensure your analysis – and the data it is based on – is quality assured, documented and fit-for-purpose, seeking feedback and opportunities for continuous improvement. Additionally, quality assurance of the analytical work of others in the wider team, when required.
  • Demonstrate initiative and drive, challenging and prompting where necessary and building the brand of the analytics team through effective stakeholder and colleague engagement.
