You will have responsibility for all data pipelines within the Trust, ensuring robust data governance and excellent data quality across all aspects of services delivered at GOSH. You will be tasked with delivering the Trusts enterprise data management strategy, and creating a Data Driven culture throughout the Trust to ensure that we use data as a clinical and business asset.

A commercially astute, digital transformation leader with experience of having defined and delivered strategies in support of change that improves efficiency and effectiveness. You will be fully conversant with modern approaches and technologies relevant to the full use of data in a multi-partner environment. An articulate, intellectually capable strategic thinker, and an accomplished relationship builder and ambassador, able to influence and work collaboratively, internally and externally. An outstanding leader and team player, you will be able to build internal capability on all fronts, inspiring outstanding contributions from your teams and partners and challenging our operating model and ways of working to maximise our impact.

What you will need to succeed

  • Have a thorough understanding of the Trust and what a Digital Strategy as required by GOSH would be.
  • To be able to design and implement data strategies and systems.
  • To show evidence of overseeing collection, storage, management, quality and protection of data.
  • To implement data privacy policies and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • To be able to indicate where we could increase the efficiency of the hospital and services within the hospital based on insights derived from data.
  • To build and lead a comprehensive Business Intelligence Unit which informs longer term planning of the trust
  • Effective communication skills to highlight the status, value, and importance of data to executive members and staff.
  • Have knowledge of relevant applications, big data solutions, and tools.

As a Chief Data Officer, you will have the opportunity to work with the senior team as well as the opportunity to truly develop the use of information in the Trust. You have the chance to take on a leading role in this area for paediatrics at a Trust and wider level.
